Bio

Born and raised in the heart of the Toronto. It was in my modern dance class that yoga was introduced to me in 2001. I wanted to see what the whole 'buzz' was about and exactly why was Madonna turning into a pretzel over the age of 40.

After years of classes, self practice, and workshops, I decided to pursue teaching. Leading to completion of teacher training at The Yoga Sanctuary, Yoga Plus and The Esther Myers Studio. I fell in love with it's ability to release stress, increase body awareness, and allow attention to the present moment. Yoga has taught me that inner growth can effect your outer growth. Because of yoga I'm more disciplined, open minded, active, and inspired. I now have a better understanding to the world around me.

My teachers motivated me to incorporate yoga into my daily life. Certified to teach in Hatha, Ashtanga, Restorative, and Pre/Post Natal Yoga. Years of practice I have had many inspiring teachers, and I would like to thank them for teaching me the gift of teaching to others. I'm also currently enrolled in meditation teacher training. This specific Meditation training has brought attention to the concept of mindfulness.

My focus is to teach others to look inside for their own for happiness. Yoga can help you on the path to finding yourself. Yoga for me has been a tool to guide through everyday life. I also make a lot of puns while teaching. Laughter is also an important part of my teaching style to take a light hearted approach to the ancient practice.

Incorporating training for a marathon into my yoga and mediation practice has increased my body awareness and has extended my own capabilities both mentally and physically.

My classes that I teach are individualized to each person. We together work on building the strengths of the person and expanding from there. Change is apart of natural growth, and having lots of variety to each class makes yoga more fun.
