InSpirit 2009
Experience a spectrum of workshops - from mantra meditation and ecological sustainability to spiritual accounting - facilitated by Devamrita Swami, an urban monk from New Zealand with over 35 years of spiritual practice. A student of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, he comes to share with us knowledge passed down in the 5000 year old 'Gaudiya Vaishnava' tradition. Join us as several Yoga studios like Moksha, Jivamukti and Yoga Sanctuary join hands with York and University of Toronto to welcome Devamrita Swami and host various events around the city to learn from his deep experiences.
Accompanying him is Badahari Dasa, a yogi and a seasoned musician who has released several albums on devotional music. At every session, he will lead us through a guided mantra meditation experience – transcendent beats which are certain to capture your heart and engage your soul.
These events are specially designed to present an authentic philosophical alternative to today's changing paradigms. They offer a unique opportunity to network within the booming yoga and spiritual community in Toronto. Each event will be marked with gourmet vegan meals and snacks – something you will not want to miss. This is a non-profit initiative, and all events are in the range of $10 – $20 (pre-registration).
