Mindfulness Meditation Workshop
Meditation is a way to calm the mind by observing the many thoughts we have moment to moment that we may not even be aware of. By bringing mindfulness to these thoughts and their corresponding emotions we can then start an exciting journey to discover who we truly are.
Join Stephen Jones at The Big Stretch as he shares simple techniques of the mindfulness meditation practice to help bring awareness to your breath, including sitting and walking meditation.
Stephen has been a practising meditator for over 25 years. His love and appreciation of meditation have brought him into different areas of style and theory. For the past ten years Stephen has been involved with mindfulness meditation. He has sat on many meditation retreats with Molly Swan and Norman Feldman, plus Beverly Yates and Jim Bean. All are Dharma teachers from the Theravada tradition. Stephen has worked as a Reflexologist for over twenty years and has studied and practiced other forms of bodywork such as Yoga, Shiatsu and Reiki.
