RULES FOR ASANAS ( physical exercise)
keeping eyes closed helps to increase concentration.
for anyone with backache, heart or BP problem, do not bend forward.
do not lift both legs stright if it is uncomfortable, or if you have back heart or BP problems. you can bend the knees, if necessary.
Donot force any action.
People with hernia should not do Asanas that put pressure on lower part of the body and should not bend backwards.
Be comfortable and relaxed.
Breath control during asanas is very important moving forward - breath moving backward- breath in
Maintain a happy and enthusiastic dispoition and full concentration of the mind.

These ideas are certainly nice guidlelines which hold true in most situations, but I am not sure if you want to call them 'rules'... There are always exceptions since every body and condition is different. I don't believe that in yoga asana practice there is a strict right or wrong... As I said, your writing provides helpful advice, but maybe ought not to be presented in such a black and white structure. Thank you though, for sharing your knowledge with us all! :)
