Toronto Yoga Leaders: Maggie O'Connor and Jessica Commins
The TYG production team found itself in the heart of Cabbagetown to interview Maggie O'Connor and Jessica Commins of The Union Yoga Centre. In this video interview, Maggie and Jessica discuss their background, how they came together, the diverse nature of The Union and the importance of strong community ties.
The Union Yoga Centre endeavours to provide a space where people can practice yoga "without the pressures of social barriers and cultural constructs". One of the cool ways they do this is by offering Punk Rock Yoga classes, for those who prefer a little spice with their yoga.
Check out part 2 of this interview or view the profile for The Union Yoga Centre. The Toronto Yoga Leaders series of articles showcases the people and places that shape the Toronto Yoga community.

Love Punk Yoga
Punk Rock Yoga is an awesome concept! Lightens some of the serious, earnest vibe that yoga is frequently associated with.
Must try this. Great interview etc. Punk on!
