Toronto Yoga Leaders: Cynthia Funk and Kimberley Sopinka, Part 3

Part three of this interview focuses on Cynthia and Kimberley's approach to teaching. The Yoga Sanctuary is the first fully accredited teacher training school in Ontario, which elevates them to the same playing field as other Ontario universities and colleges. Unlike many places, they do not hire teachers from other studios but instead prefer to hire from within and train their own.

Cynthia encourages laughter and compassion as the root of her teaching philosophy, with emphasis on developing long-term relationships with students. Many of the students from their teacher training program have gone on to open their own studios in Toronto and around the world.
