Toronto Yoga Leaders: Ante Pavlovic

Ante Pavlovic discovered yoga while working with special needs adults, which forged a yogic path of both teaching and practicing yoga as a philosophy and therapy. He completed a number of teacher trainings in Toronto, and in 2003-2004 lived in Chennai, India while training in the direct lineage of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, enjoying daily practice with the great yogi's son and grandson.

While in India, Ante completed a one year Yoga Therapy internship as part of the teaching faculty at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM), a centre renowned worldwide for healing and education. He was also part of the first batch of international students to be officially certified as a Yoga Teacher, as well as Yoga Teacher Trainer in the lineage of Krishnamacharya.

Beyond yoga, Ante's interest in various sports, martial arts, and personal fitness training have added breadth to his practice. Ante has been called upon to teach yoga to athletes from all disciplines, including: golfers, tennis players, cricketers, basketball teams, as well as the University of Toronto varsity track & field team.
